Terms & Conditions

Payment & Ordering

All orders placed by buyers will be at the prices stated and on these terms and conditions unless otherwise agreed by the buyer and The Burgundy Portfolio.
You must be of legal purchase age in your country of access or residence in order to buy any alcoholic beverages from The Burgundy Portfolio.
Mixed cases are not available unless otherwise stated, for example in a Special Offer.

Prices & Stock

All prices are per bottle inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. All wines are offered subject to availability.

We reserve the right to change our prices. Please refer to the latest price list on our website for all current prices. Please note prices detailed on our website supersede any prices set out in these terms and conditions if they are different.
Prices are subject to currency and market fluctuations, changes in duty and VAT as well as stock remaining unsold. The Burgundy Portfolio reserves the right to amend all information, including information relating to price and availability, without notice.

How to pay

Payment is due upon receipt of invoice either by Cheque or Bank transfer.

Cheques are payable to The Burgundy Portfolio Limited and can be sent to our Registered Office at:

Funds need to be cleared before the order can be released unless otherwise stated or agreed in writing between The Burgundy Portfolio and the buyer.  Please note that it is the customer’s responsibility to contact their bank to speed up this process if the order is required urgently

All wines remain the property of The Burgundy Portfolio until paid for in full.

The Burgundy Portfolio reserves the right to charge interest at 10% above Metro Bank plc base rate on any overdue accounts

Deliveries & Charges

Delivery is free of charge in England for all orders of a value of £350 or more (per delivery address).  Orders under £350 inc VAT will be charged at £18 inc VAT.  Separate quotes can be given for deliveries to Scotland, The Isle of Man, The Isle of Wight, The Scilly Isles, Wales and Northern Ireland.  NB: Delivery charges apply to En Primeur wines and wines purchased In Bond for storage. Please ask for full details.

We normally deliver between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.  We reserve the right to charge for re-delivery of orders that have not been completed due to incorrect address information being supplied by the customer.

Whilst we make every effort to deliver all your goods in the agreed time, we will not be liable if we fail to do so in part or in full due to circumstances beyond our control.

En Primeur Cancellations
Wines ordered through our En Primeur service can only be cancelled within 7 days of placing the order. A full refund of the purchase price of the wines will be given on receipt of formal notification in writing of cancellation of the order. Due to the unique nature of En Primeur sales we regret that orders cannot be cancelled after this time.

Wine Tasting & Dinner Tickets
Places are confirmed on receipt of payment for said advertised event.  In the event of cancellation full refunds will only be given if we are notified at least 14 days before the date of the event. Refunds will only be given after this time if we are able to re-sell your tickets.

Returns 
If a wine is damaged in delivery or found to be corked or faulty, The Burgundy Portfolio will, where possible, replace the goods or offer a full refund in respect of the damaged or faulty goods only.  If a wine has been kept too long or stored inappropriately, we may not be able to offer a refund.  If incorrect goods are delivered The Burgundy Portfolio will either refund or replace the incorrect goods on return of the cases in question.

In the event that any of the above problems arise, please inform us as soon as possible.

Sale or Return
All “Sale or Return” orders must include a minimum of £400 of wine. A maximum of 25% of the original order quantity can be returned. – All returned goods must be in an perfect and  re-saleable condition with no cut capsules or damaged labels otherwise no credit will be given.

However, this site is provided “as is” and The Burgundy Portfolio makes no representations or warranties as to the accuracy of information contained on this website.

Security and Privacy 
The Burgundy Portfolio is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect and use information about you in order to process your orders and to keep you informed of its products and promotions which may be of interest to you.
When you place an order with The Burgundy Portfolio, your contact details are automatically included on our general customer mailing list unless you notify us to the contrary.
If you wish your details to be removed from our mailing list, please notify us to this effect by e-mail and we will action any such request as soon as possible.
Your personal details are kept strictly confidential and are not shared with any third party.

General
The Burgundy Portfolio is not liable for any failure to meet our obligations occasioned by circumstances beyond its control. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. The Burgundy Portfolio is incorporated in England and Wales.
These terms and conditions and any contract made shall be construed and operated in accordance with English law.
Any dispute or claim arising from using this website must be made and settled under English law.

This List cancels all previous Lists.
